What first attracted you to motorcycles?
Motorbikes are something that I have always been drawn to – the sound of the engines, the speed. I’d always dreamt about being able to ride, it just seemed like the perfect way to spend a nice sunny day. But I never thought I would do it.
Then I was introduced to a CBT Instructor by an acquaintance, who talked me into doing my CBT. Three months, and a shed load of money and training later, I amazed myself and everyone else I knew, by passing my DAS first time. I couldn’t have been happier – I had achieved something I thought I would never manage, and I’d passed and with flying colours.
How did you hear about the Lippy Ladies MCC?
I was there at the beginning, a group of us used to belong to a national ladies club and lo and behold there came a day when the light shone and we discovered the formula. The formula was PC + (L x M x C x F) = LLMCC*
PC= previous Club
L= laughter
M= miles
C= cake
F= freedom to do what we want when we want to as long as it contains L, M and C
LLMCC= Lippy Ladies’ Motorcycle Club
Why did you decide to join the Lippies?
See above
What personally do you get from being a member of the Lippies that makes membership worthwhile?
It’s all about being part of something amazing! The amazing bit being that the club has grown so quickly and successfully over its first year. Who knew there were so many ladies out there just waiting for what we offer! And there is always something to do with the various trips, events and ride-outs.
Best Lippy moment since you joined?
As Lippy treasurer it’s my job to keep track of payments in and out for memberships and club events,There is so much going in the regions, and as a whole, it’s not easy to keep up with it all and to be involved in everything. So printing off the first year-end report for the AGM, and seeing all the memberships and activities as a balance sheet really brought home just how much we have done, and still had to do.
Funniest Lippy moment since you joined?
There are so many funny moments with this group of ladies, but the one thing that does stick in my mind is Rachel’s video of me helping her move her bike while parked on gravel in Scotland – it got even funnier as it was caught on Rachel’s bike cam, amazingly edited by Rachel’s partner Geoff and YouTubed for all the wold to see.
(See the video here folks…… Ooooooooo Yeeeeeeeeeeahhhhhh - TT)
What would you say to encourage a potential member to join?
Come along and give us a try. You can put in as little or as much as you like into the club, and also take out as little or as much as you like – it’s your club .

Oh yeah, that’s Lippyship in a nutshell
Nut shell!…… Given the number of views this blog post has had, I think blonde bomb-shell would be more apt!
Cried with laughter at the video – You is well Lippy, Kellie!
Ever since making it I’ve said that Kellie deserves a reward for being such a good sport over that vid.
